Wuhan University is a public research university founded in 1893 in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China. One of the four distinguished universities established during China's early republican era, Wuhan University ranks among the most prestigious and most selective universities in China.

Known especially for its academic excellence in the social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering, Wuhan University provides higher education opportunities to approximately 60,000 students through 6 colleges: the College of Humanities, the College of Social Sciences, the College of Engineering, the College of Science, the College of Information Science, and the College of Medical Sciences.

Wuhan University offers preparatory programs designed to prepare students new to university education for undergraduate study and to help them develop Chinese language proficiency.

In addition, prospective international students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Wuhan University must meet the following admission requirements.

• Completion of 12 Years of Basic Education
• 4-Year High School Diploma (High GPA)
  • Wuhan University may require you to have taken the TYT+AYT exams in addition to your 4-year high school diploma and to provide your exam scores.

  or
• GCE A-Level / International A-Level Diploma
  or
• SAT/ACT Exam Score
  or
• Advanced Placement (AP)
  • The prospective student must have taken courses and sat for exams that are directly related to the program they intend to pursue at university

In addition to the above, you may be required to sit for exams such as the International STEM Test (THUSSAT, TIST, etc.) and provide your score for certain programs.

• English proficiency certificate for programs taught in English
  • English proficiency certificate obtained through scores from English proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic
• Chinese proficiency certificate for programs taught in Chinese
  • Chinese proficiency certificate obtained through scores from Chinese proficiency exams such as HSK

Prospective international students wishing to apply to graduate programs offered by Wuhan University must meet the following admission requirements.

• 4-Year Bachelor's Degree Diploma
• High GPA
• Official transcripts listing the courses taken and grades received during undergraduate study
• GRE/GMAT exam scores may be required in accordance with the admission requirements specific to the program applied for
• Relevant Work Experience in the Field
• At least 2 letters of recommendation
