Fudan University is a national public research university in Shanghai, China. Founded in 1905, it joins a deep-rooted tradition with a modern approach to education. The university delivers a high-quality academic experience to its students. It is also a member of the C9 League, Project 985, Project 211, and Double First Class University. Fudan is one of the three best universities in China, and more than 4,000 international students study here. In the 2022 QS Rankings, it ranks third in China, seventh in Asia, and thirty-first in the world.
The university offers 70 undergraduate degree programs in the arts, humanities, and sciences. Some of these programs are taught in English. Fudan University also keeps global connections and exchange programs with about 200 universities abroad. It is highly selective, and it is accredited by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.
In February 2008, Fudan University set up the Fudan University Education Development Foundation in New York. The university has also strengthened its international partnerships by co-founding the Scandinavian Center in Shanghai. This shared platform for research and education was founded with 14 universities from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

How to get into Fudan University
If you want to enroll in an undergraduate program at Fudan University, you are expected to meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma with a strong GPA
- Transcripts
- Foreign language certificate and score report for English-taught programs
- Chinese proficiency certificate for programs taught in Chinese
- A Chinese proficiency certificate from an internationally recognized Chinese proficiency exam such as HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi)
- 2 letters of recommendation
- SAT/ACT exam score
- Online application fee
If you want to enroll in a graduate program at Fudan University, you are expected to meet the following requirements:

Fudan University teaches Chinese in long-term and short-term language programs, general and advanced programs, and other customized programs. These programs aim to give international students proficiency in Chinese.
All international students must buy "PingAn Comprehensive Insurance" in China.
The application fee is 400 CNY for non-undergraduate programs and 800 CNY for undergraduate programs.

Handan Campus, Fudan's main campus, is in the Yangpu District of Shanghai, and most of the university's colleges are based there. Jiangwan Campus is a newer campus, only 2 miles (3.2 km) from the Handan Campus. Fenglin Campus is home to the School of Medicine and the health center. Zhangjiang Campus is in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong District, Shanghai.
