Fudan University, located in Shanghai, China, is a national public research university. Founded in 1905, Fudan University synthesizes its deep-rooted tradition with a modern approach to education, delivering a high-quality academic experience to its students. The university is also a member of the C9 League, Project 985, Project 211, and Double First Class University. One of the three best universities in China, the institution has more than 4,000 international students. According to the 2022 QS Rankings, the university ranks third in China, seventh in Asia, and thirty-first in the world.
The university offers 70 undergraduate degree programs in the arts, humanities, and sciences. Some programs are taught in English, and Fudan University maintains global connections and exchange programs with approximately 200 overseas universities. Highly selective, the university is accredited by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.
In February 2008, Fudan University established the Fudan University Education Development Foundation in New York. The university has also strengthened its international partnerships by co-founding the Scandinavian Center in Shanghai — a shared platform for research and education — with 14 universities from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

How to get into Fudan University
Students wishing to enroll in undergraduate programs offered by Fudan University are expected to meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma with a strong GPA
- Transcripts
- Foreign language certificate and score report for English-taught programs
- Chinese proficiency certificate for programs taught in Chinese
- A Chinese proficiency certificate obtained through internationally recognized Chinese proficiency exams such as HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi)

- SAT/ACT exam score

All international students are required to purchase "PingAn Comprehensive Insurance" in China.
The application fee is 400 CNY for non-undergraduate programs and 800 CNY for undergraduate programs.

Handan Campus, Fudan's main campus, is located in the Yangpu District of Shanghai. Most of the university's colleges are based here. Jiangwan Campus is only 2 miles (3.2 km) from the Handan Campus and is a newer campus of Fudan University. Fenglin Campus is home to the School of Medicine and the health center. Zhangjiang Campus is located in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong District, Shanghai.
