What Is the TestDaF Exam?
TestDaF (Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache) is a standardised examination developed to assess the German-language proficiency of international students who wish to pursue higher education in Germany.
Administered since 2001, the TestDaF exam is accepted by almost every university in Germany and measures students' ability to use the German language in an academic setting.
Organised by the TestDaF–Institut, this exam evaluates advanced German-language skills spanning the B2 and C1 levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The exam is held six times a year at more than 500 test centres across over 95 countries worldwide.
