Wesleyan University, located in Middletown, Connecticut, is a private liberal arts university. The university, founded in 1831 and named after John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, is now a secular institution. Wesleyan University scholarships and financial aid
Wesleyan University and U.S. federally sponsored financial aid are available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Please note that financial aid for non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents is limited and awarded based on both exceptional qualifications and demonstrated need. Each year, Wesleyan University is expected to offer financial assistance to approximately 40-45 international students from a pool of approximately 2800 international applicants applying for financial aid.
The full demonstrated financial need of all undergraduate students, as determined by the Financial Aid Office, is met with a combination of loans, part-time employment, and grants. Financial aid is not available for international transfer students. Moreover, please also note that if international students do not need financial aid, they must submit documentation verifying sufficient personal resources or outside scholarships to meet the expenses of four years at Wesleyan University at the time of application.

Wesleyan University's Middletown, Connecticut campus consists of more than 316 acres and a variety of architectural styles, ranging from Gothic to modern, illustrating the institution's lengthy history and evolution. The Olin Library is the campus's primary library, hosting an extensive collection of books, journals, databases, and more. In addition, it contains study rooms, computer laboratories, and special collections, such as the University Archives. The Center for the Arts (CFA), which was founded in 1973, functions as a center for the creative arts at the University and houses facilities for music, dance, theater, and visual arts.
