The University of South Florida has three campuses: Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota Manatee. Tampa is the main campus, and it hosts all 14 colleges. The St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee campuses hold academic units such as the Marine Science program, along with administrative buildings. The Tampa campus sits north of Tampa and spans about 600 hectares. It accommodates more than 40,000 students across over 200 buildings. The campus offers you both modern amenities and an environment immersed in nature.
It is home to the USF Contemporary Art Museum and the USF Botanical Gardens, which hold more than 3,000 species of plants and animals. The Tampa campus also has walking trails, recreation centers, student centers, lakes, and parks.
The Tampa campus has many residence halls with varying characteristics where you can live. You can take a single room or share one. In addition to the dining halls inside the residence halls and across campus, more than 25 cafes and restaurants on campus meet your dining needs. The campus has more than 600 student clubs, performing arts groups, and more than 19 sports clubs. By joining these and similar activities, you can add cultural life to your studies. The Marshall Student Center stands at the center of campus, with over 2,000 square meters of enclosed space.
Inside there are conference and meeting rooms, several dining areas, study rooms, and a range of activity spaces. Shuttle services run by the university move you around campus, and public transit connects you to the city. Downtown is easy to reach, but the grocery stores, shopping centers, and retail outlets on and around campus meet nearly all your needs.
