The University of Notre Dame's main campus, which spans 500 hectares, is located north of South Bend, Indiana, approximately 6.4 kilometers from the Michigan state border. The university's main campus is considered one of the most beautiful university campuses in the United States, and features 32 residence halls, 28 dining facilities, and 5 recreation centers. Transportation between downtown South Bend and the university campus is available via public transit or on foot.
The University of Notre Dame campus is recognized as one of the most beautiful university campuses in the United States and sits on approximately 1,250 acres. The residence halls are at the heart of students' social and academic life on campus. Nearly all students live in the university's residence halls throughout their time at the university. More than 400 student clubs and organizations are active within the university, of which 9 are geared toward students from different states and approximately 36 toward students from different backgrounds and nationalities.
At the start of the fall semester, the university hosts an annual Student Activities Fair for all students interested in joining clubs or other student organizations. In addition, the Studebaker National Museum, Potawatomi Zoo, The History Museum, Morris Performing Arts Center, and Snite Museum of Art are among the must-visit spots in South Bend.
