How to get into Colorado State University

Colorado State University offers a preparatory program called "English for Academic Purposes (EAP)" to help incoming students develop English language proficiency.

Notable structures on campus bring together architectural styles including Gothic Revival, Modern, and Post-Modern, with highlights such as the Administration Building, Morgan Library, and the Lory Student Center. The campus includes expansive green spaces, including the famous "Oval" — surrounded by tree-lined paths and historic buildings — and the Lagoon, a natural gathering place for students and faculty alike. The university is home to more than 600 student clubs and organizations, ranging from academic and professional groups to cultural and recreational clubs. Colorado State University has 16 varsity athletic teams competing in NCAA Division I, primarily in American football, basketball, and volleyball, and students can attend games free of charge. Numerous campus events are held throughout the year, including concerts, conferences, lectures, and cultural celebrations, with some of the most popular including Homecoming Parade, Ag Day BBQ, and the Great Race. Like many universities in the United States, community service plays a significant role at Colorado State University, and there are many opportunities for students to get involved in volunteer work. Students can participate in service projects through student clubs and organizations or through the university's Volunteer Resource Center.
