How to get into University of Utah
The University of Utah runs a preparatory program called the "Intensive English Program", which builds the English proficiency of students entering their first year.
If you are an international student applying to an undergraduate program at the University of Utah, you must also meet the following admission requirements.

The University of Utah campus sits at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains and covers about 620 hectares. It is divided into four areas: the historic lower campus, the upper campus, the research park, and the medical campus. The university was originally founded on the historic lower campus, which holds some of its oldest and most iconic structures. Among them are Park Building, the oldest building on campus, and Rice-Eccles Stadium, home to the university's football team.
The upper campus holds most of the academic and administrative buildings, along with a large share of the research facilities. Its buildings range from historic structures, such as the beautiful Gothic-style buildings of the College of Mines and Earth Sciences, to modern facilities like the state-of-the-art Carolyn and Kem Gardner Commons building. The research park is a separate area just south of the main campus. It houses a number of research centers and technology companies.
These include the University of Utah Research Foundation, the Utah Science Technology and Research (USTAR) initiative, and numerous private companies. The medical campus lies about 5 kilometers from the main campus, in Salt Lake City's Medical District. It is home to the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, including the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, and College of Pharmacy.
Campus life at the University of Utah is lively. The university offers students a range of housing options, including traditional residence halls, apartment-style accommodations, and family housing. Themed living communities, which bring together students with shared interests, are also available. The University of Utah has more than 600 student clubs and organizations, covering a wide variety of interests, from academic clubs to cultural groups and service organizations. The university is a member of the Pac-12 Conference and has a strong athletics profile, with 17 varsity sports teams.
You can attend games and competitions free of charge with your student ID, and the university also offers club sports exclusively for members. The state of Utah is known for its vast and scenic open spaces. Through them, the university organizes a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities for its students all year round. The university's Outdoor Recreation Program offers trips and rental equipment for activities such as hiking, skiing, and canoeing.
