With 164 buildings and 600 acres of land, the university has multiple campuses. Education is offered across three campuses: the City Campus, the Lichtwiese Campus, and the Botanical Garden. There are also several buildings in other parts of Darmstadt and in the nearby town of Griesheim.
The City Campus is in a very central location in Darmstadt and is easily accessible by tram and bus from all parts of the city. The departments located here are Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, History and Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Law and Economics.
Campus life at Technische Universität Darmstadt is extremely enjoyable and engaging. The campuses consist of state-of-the-art workshops, faculties, study rooms, dormitories, and laboratories. There are also a number of cafes and restaurants, shopping areas, bookstores, and more where students can socialize, spend time, and meet their everyday needs.
Students can participate in campus events, sports clubs, student clubs, fairs, and shows, and can take on roles in various organizations. Having earned the title of Germany's most athletic university, the school has won the German Olympic Sports Confederation's university competition for the third consecutive time.
