Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin has three campuses in the city of Berlin: the Adlershof Campus, the Mitte Campus, and the Nord Campus. The Adlershof Campus, where more than 6,000 students pursue their studies, is located at the heart of Berlin's Adlershof Science City. Built between 1998 and 2003 with first-class educational and research facilities, the Adlershof Campus is home to the university's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Life Sciences, and the IRIS Adlershof Research Institute.

The Mitte Campus — the oldest of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin's three campuses — houses the Faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences, Economics, and Business, along with the departments within those faculties. The Nord Campus, located in the Mitte district of Berlin, is centered around an 80,000-square-meter green park area. The Nord Campus is home to the Faculty of Life Sciences — which includes the Departments of Biology and Psychology — as well as the Thaer Institute of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences. Transportation between campuses is possible by car, public transit, or bicycle.

The Erwin Schrödinger Center, located on the Adlershof Campus, houses a collection of more than 505,000 print publications and more than 5,600 electronic publications. In addition to serving as a science library for the university and providing spaces where students can study and conduct research, it also functions as a computer center with 300 computers, 30 online databases, and 45 OPAC terminals. The student center SBZ Prüfstand also features a café where students can relax and socialize.

The Mitte Campus is situated in the historic heart of Berlin, between Lustgarten, Bebelplatz, and the Brandenburg Gate. Located very close to the Mitte Campus, the Unter den Linden boulevard is lined with numerous historic buildings, cultural institutes, cafés, shops, and hotels. At the center of the Nord Campus lies a sprawling green park covering 80,000 square meters. The university library, spread across all three campuses, has 12 separate buildings where students can study and conduct research.

The Humboldt University Sports Center on Hannoversche Straße offers students the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports, from swimming to martial arts.
