Royal Holloway College became one of the founding colleges of the University of London in 1900. Bedford College and Royal Holloway College merged in 1985.

Royal Holloway University of London's campus is in Egham, Surrey, about 30 kilometers from central London. It sits on 55 hectares of woodland between Windsor and Heathrow. The nearest station is Egham, and Waterloo Station in central London is about 45 minutes away. Founder's Building takes up a large part of the campus. Inside it you will find a kitchen, a student cafeteria, a lecture hall, a library, student rooms, and the famous Picture Gallery. Most of the university's academic programs are taught at the Egham Campus.
