The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus is located along the Charles River in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is recognized for its distinctive architecture and beautifully maintained grounds. The Great Dome, one of the most recognizable structures on campus, is part of the Maclaurin Buildings, which were designed by architect William Welles Bosworth and completed in 1916.

The Infinite Corridor is a 251-meter (825-foot) long corridor that connects numerous important buildings on campus. The Ray and Maria Stata Center for Computer, Information, and Intelligence Sciences, designed by famous architect Frank Gehry, inaugurated in 2004.

The building is notable for its unusual architecture, with uneven angles, and houses the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS), and the Department of Linguistics and Philosophy.

Green Building, officially known as the Cecil and Ida Green Building, is a 21-story structure housing the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences. Completed in 1964, the Green Building is the tallest building on campus and a prominent landmark in the Cambridge skyline. MIT.nano, which opened in 2018, is a cutting-edge center dedicated to nanotechnology research. The structure includes cutting-edge cleanrooms, imaging suites, and other specialized facilities to enable research in fields such as materials science, energy, and life sciences.

East Campus is a residential and academic section that includes multiple dorms as well as buildings that house various academic departments. In recent years, the eastern section of campus has seen major growth, including the construction of new residential complexes and the renovation of Kendall Square. The campus has several green spaces, courtyards, and plazas where students, instructors, and staff may rest and mingle. Another significant aspect of the site is the Charles River, which has running and bike lanes along its banks.
