Campus

Take a closer look at Politecnico di Torino

Politecnico di Torino has 10 campuses in total: 6 in the city of Turin and one each in Alessandria, Biella, Mondovi, and Verrès. The university's campuses generally follow the structure of British universities and consist of multipurpose buildings dedicated to teaching activities, applied research, and student services. The campuses in Alessandria, Biella, Mondovi, and Verrès — which form the university's network of technology centers — primarily host research centers, technology transfer offices, and activities related to specialized training.

The historic Valentino Castle, a 17th-century Savoy structure known as the historic heart of Politecnico di Torino, serves as the main teaching campus for the university's Department of Architecture on a 2.3-hectare site. The complex on Corso Duca degli Abruzzi, built on a 12-hectare site and currently home to the main campus for the engineering departments, opened in 1958 and has been merged with the Cittadella Politecnica — a modern complex set on 17 hectares that connects the two complexes.

The university's newest campus is the Design and Sustainable Mobility Citadel, located adjacent to the Lingotto building and home to the Mirafiori production facility, the redeveloped Fiat manufacturing plant, and the Master School, where the university's graduate-level academic programs take place.

Campus Life

Politecnico di Torino provides housing options for international students through partner institutions. EDISU, the Regional Agency for University Education Rights in Piedmont, offers meal services at university canteens and dining halls at special rates for students. These services are available to domestic and international students enrolled at the university for the current academic year, students participating in international mobility programs, university staff, and faculty members.

Additionally, cafeterias, bars, and self-service restaurants are located within the university's campuses. Beyond the campuses, a variety of restaurants and cafes near the university allow students to sample Italian cuisine as well as food from around the world. Computer labs, health centers, banks, post offices, and bookstores are also available for student use on Politecnico di Torino's campuses. The university is home to numerous student organizations, including a Turkish Student Association known as "Politotsa."
