The University of Padua offers undergraduate and graduate programs under the names Laurea (Bachelor's) and Laurea Magistrale (Master's). While the majority of the undergraduate and graduate programs offered to students are taught in Italian, programs taught in English are also available.

- Participation in and a passing score on the university entrance exam administered by the University of Padua
- A sufficient score on the IMAT (International Medical Admissions Test) for the Faculty of Medicine
- Official transcript documents listing the courses taken and grades received throughout the applicant's academic career
- English Proficiency Certificate for programs taught in English (an English proficiency certificate obtained through internationally recognized exams such as IELTS or TOEFL iBT)
- Italian Proficiency Certificate for programs taught in Italian
