Take a closer look at University of Padua

Padua sits in the heart of northeastern Italy, in the Veneto Region, less than 40 km from Venice. It is one of Italy's most beautiful cities, with a history spanning over 3,000 years. Like its peers founded in the same period, the University of Padua is a city university rather than a campus university. Most of the buildings where the university operates are spread throughout the center of Padua. The departments of the School of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine are at the Agripolis campus, less than 10 kilometers from the center of Padua.

The university placed them there in order to better meet the requirements of these types of disciplines. The university's other research and teaching facilities are in various cities in the Veneto region, such as Vicenza, Treviso, Rovigo, and Chioggia-Venice. Air, rail, and road connections to major cities in Italy and abroad are efficient. The cycling network is extensive, over 170 km, and multiple bike-sharing options come at special discounts for students. Together these make getting around the city of Padua easy and highly sustainable.

Campus Life

As a city university, the University of Padua is deeply intertwined with the social and cultural life of the city of Padua. You can travel between university buildings easily on foot or by bicycle. The University of Padua also provides students with various housing options in dormitories and student residences.

The Centro Universitario Sportivo operates under the university and serves students.
