The City Campus of the University of Technology Sydney sits on the southern edge of Sydney's central business district. Central Station and Railway Square are both close by. At its center stands the UTS Tower, facing Broadway. Broadway, Haymarket, and Blackfriars sit across five separate precincts on campus, while Moore Park and Botany hold facilities run for specialized purposes. The Broadway precinct in Ultimo houses the Faculties of Science, Health, Law, Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering, and Information Technology.
It also holds Design, Architecture and Building, along with the university library. The Haymarket precinct houses the Business School, the UTS Animal Logic Academy, and two lecture theaters. In Chippendale, the Blackfriars precinct holds the Blackfriars Children's Centre and the university's research and innovation teams. The Rugby Australia Building, in the Moore Park precinct, contains sports facilities. The Botany precinct is home to UTS Tech Lab, a specialized research facility.
ActivateUTS, once known as the UTS Students' Association, runs a wide range of services and activities. These include food and beverage outlets, cultural events, fitness and dining services, student societies, student publications, and events such as Orientation Day. The City Campus has two pubs, "The Underground" and "The Loft", where you can spend your free time. The University of Technology Sydney is also home to more than 130 student clubs and societies you can join.
