RMIT University, officially known as the "Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology," is a research-intensive public university founded in 1992 in Melbourne, Australia. Originally established in 1887 as a night school under the name "Working Men's College of Melbourne" and elevated to university status in 1992, RMIT expanded through the 1930s and began offering instruction across various fields of study. Renamed "Melbourne Technical College" in 1934, RMIT became the first higher education institution in Australia to receive royal patronage after World War II, in 1954, in recognition of its service and contributions to the Commonwealth of Nations in the field of education, and was renamed "Royal Melbourne Technical College." Merged with the Philip Institute of Technology in 1992 and elevated to university status, RMIT today provides higher education opportunities to more than 95,000 students through campuses across 3 continents and 6 cities.

How to get into RMIT University
RMIT University offers preparatory programs under the name "Foundation Studies" to help new students prepare for higher education and develop their English language proficiency.
In addition, prospective international students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by RMIT University must meet the following admission requirements.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma
or - GCE A-Level / International GCE A-Level Diploma
- English Proficiency Certificate
- An English proficiency certificate obtained by taking one of the internationally recognized English proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, IELTS, PTE Academic, CPE, or CAE
Direct admission to the university with a Turkish High School Diploma is not possible. However, progression to undergraduate study may be possible after completing the relevant Foundation program.
Prospective international students wishing to apply to postgraduate programs offered by RMIT University must meet the following admission requirements.
- 4-Year Bachelor's Degree Diploma
- Strong GPA
- English Proficiency Certificate
- An English proficiency certificate obtained by taking one of the internationally recognized English proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, IELTS, PTE Academic, CPE, or CAE
- Relevant Work Experience
- A GRE/GMAT score may be required based on the specific admission requirements of the program applied to.
