The University of Surrey's main campus is located on Stag Hill. Originally built on 30 hectares and expanded over time to 120 hectares as the university's educational and research activities grew, the main campus is located 54 kilometers from the center of London. Regular train services run between London and the university campus, and both London and the university's Stag Hill campus can be reached within a 45-minute train journey.
The university's second campus, the recently opened new Manor Park campus, is located 1.5 kilometers from the main campus on Stag Hill and is home to student residences and staff housing as well as various buildings for educational, research, and sports activities.
The main campus of the university on Stag Hill features restaurants, cafes, pubs, and the university's own food market for use by students and staff. Stag Hill Campus also has a bookstore where students can obtain textbooks, a laundry, a post office, and a supermarket. Sports activities are highly valued at the University of Surrey, which boasts one of the best sports facilities in the UK.
Located at Manor Park Campus, Surrey Sports Park features a 50-meter swimming pool, 3 multi-purpose sports halls, 6 squash courts, a modern fitness center, three indoor soccer fields, outdoor tennis courts, a climbing center, a coffee shop, a pub, and a restaurant. The campuses of the University of Surrey are set in locations surrounded by green spaces, forests, and lakes, immersed in nature. Although the university's campuses are not very close to central London, transportation between central London and the university campuses is easily manageable by train.
Additionally, many student societies and clubs operate within the university for students to join.
