The University of Sussex is a research-focused public university originally established in 1959 as University College of Sussex in the village of Falmer in East Sussex, England, and elevated to university status by royal charter in 1961. How to get into University of Sussex
The University of Sussex offers preparation programs under the name "International Foundation Year" to prepare students who are about to begin university studies for higher education and help them develop English language proficiency.

The University of Sussex is located in Falmer, near the city of Brighton, approximately 1 hour from London and within easy reach of the major international airports at Gatwick and Heathrow. While much of the university campus falls within the boundaries of the city of Brighton and Hove, part of the campus extends eastward to Lewes. The campus is surrounded by South Downs National Park and is 5.5 kilometers from Brighton city center. The University of Sussex is the only British university located within a national park.
The University of Sussex provides a variety of on-campus and off-campus housing options. Off-campus student houses and residences are located close to the campus. On campus, there are 11 different cafes, pubs, and restaurants serving exclusively the university's students. In addition, weekly markets are held on campus where students can sample English street food and shop for clothing and books. The campus also features a supermarket, a post office, a bank, and a health center. Two sports centers serving students on campus offer the university's students the opportunity to participate in many different sports, and there are more than 230 student societies, clubs, and sports teams operating within the university for students to join.
