It is divided into four areas: Historic Campus, Campus West, River Campus, and the Arena Sports Complex. The campus holds 38 buildings — including academic, research, sports, and administrative facilities — along with 5 residence halls and 18 student apartment complexes. It runs along the banks of the Great Miami River and lies just 3 kilometers from downtown Dayton. You can get around on the university's own shuttle service or on the city of Dayton's public transportation system.
