The university's campus is a 10-minute walk from Cork city center. Cork is Ireland's largest and most southerly county. The city center is a cultural and business hub, and the county is home to some of the country's most stunning scenery — and the university campus itself sits on a 42-acre wooded estate. Campus life at the university is extremely colorful and enjoyable. There are cafes and restaurants where students can socialize, shopping centers, student clubs, study lounges, and state-of-the-art workshops and laboratories. University College Cork is also home to more than 100 active societies and 50 different sports clubs where students can connect with others.
