How to get into Technological University Dublin

Technological University Dublin offers preparatory programs under the name "International Foundation Programme" to prepare students entering university for higher education and to help them develop English language proficiency.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Technological University Dublin must meet the following requirements.

Technological University Dublin operates across 5 different campuses: Grangegorman, Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Blanchardstown, and Tallaght. All 5 of the university's campuses are located in or very close to the center of Dublin, the capital of Ireland. The university's Grangegorman Campus — the largest investment in higher education ever made in Ireland — hosts the vast majority of the university's activities and offers students a unique educational experience on a vibrant, modern campus.

The Central Quad, located on the Grangegorman Campus, is the university's largest building on the new campus, and the activities of the Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Sciences, Biological, Health and Sport Sciences, Food Science and Environmental Health, Physics, Clinical and Optometric Sciences, Culinary Arts and Food Technology, and Tourism and Hospitality Management departments all take place in this building. The East Quad, located on the Grangegorman Campus, serves as a cultural center for both the university and the city of Dublin, hosting the educational activities of some of the departments within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities as well as the Art and Design, Media, Music, Drama, Modern Languages, Law, Social Sciences, Education, and Social Work departments. The Grangegorman Campus also houses the Greenway Hub, one of the university's research and innovation facilities, as well as Lower House, Rathdown House, and Park House, where various services are provided to the university's students.

While the university's Aungier Street campus houses Ireland's largest business school, the Bolton Street campus houses a center for technological education. The Blanchardstown Campus, built on approximately 23 hectares of land, features various workshops, a library, computer laboratories, and a range of facilities available to students, while the Tallaght Campus houses lecture halls, computer laboratories, the renowned Synergy Center and Synergy Global, the Technology Development Center, and the Sport Science, Health and Recreation Building.

Campus Life

The Grangegorman, Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Blanchardstown, and Tallaght campuses, located in and close to the center of Dublin, enable the university's students to take advantage of both the social and cultural opportunities of city life and the facilities offered on the university's campuses, particularly Grangegorman, Blanchardstown, and Tallaght. In addition to the cafes, restaurants, a theater, conference and concert halls, university sports complex, and other facilities located on the university's campuses, there are countless cafes, restaurants, museums, art galleries, cinemas, pubs, and stores to be found in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. While the university's main sports complex and other sports facilities give students the opportunity to participate in many different sports, the student clubs and societies operating within the university bring together enthusiasts of virtually every interest. While the university's student union, together with the student clubs and societies, frequently organizes activities that students can participate in, various festivals and events take place year-round in the capital Dublin and in other popular cities across Ireland.
