    • Overall scores of 29 - 41, with scores of 5 - 7 in relevant subjects at higher level.
  • A-Levels
    • 3 Subjects: Overall scores of 12 - 17
    • 4 Subjects: Overall scores of 14 - 21
      • UK GCE A Levels best 3 or best 4 subjects, whichever provides the higher
        rank (A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1). All A Level exams must be taken in the
        same academic year, with the exception of one subject which can be from
        the preceding or following year.
  • Canada Ontario OSSD
    • Score Range: 77% - 91%
  • Canada British Columbia BCCG
    • Score Range: 3.45 - 3.90
  • French Baccalaureate
    • Score Range: 12.3 - 17.2
  • SAT - ACT
    • SAT Score Range: 1170 - 1430
    • ACT Score Range: 23 - 33
  • Certificate in English Proficiency (for students from countries whose first language is not English)

Admission Requirements for International Students

Graduate

Prospective international students who wish to apply for graduate programs offered by Australian National University must meet the admission requirements outlined below.

  • Bachelor's Degree Diploma
  • High Grade Point Average
  • Official transcripts of the courses taken by the applicant during college/university education
  • Work experience may be required for certain programs
  • Certificate in English Proficiency (for students from countries whose first language is not English)
    • Certificate in English proficiency received through internationally recognized proficiency tests such as IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, CAE, CPE.
  • GRE/GMAT exam score may be required in accordance with the specific admission requirements of certain programs.

Take a closer look at The Australian National University

ANU's main campus lies in the Canberra suburb of Acton, a 1.45 km2 area of mostly parkland and landscaped university buildings. ANU is bisected by Sullivans Creek, part of the Murray-Darling watershed, and bordered by the natural bushland of Black Mountain, Lake Burley Griffin, the suburb of Turner and the Canberra central business district. Many university precincts have historical significance dating back to the founding of the national capital, with more than 40 buildings recognized by the Commonwealth Heritage List and several others on local lists.

With more than 10,000 trees on campus, ANU won the International Sustainable Campus Network Award in 2009 and was ranked Australia's 2nd greenest university campus in 2011. Four of Australia's five learned societies are based at ANU: The Australian Academy of Science, the Australian Academy of Humanities, the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and the Australian Academy of Law. The Australian National Center for Public Awareness of Science and the National Film and Sound Archive are also located at ANU, while the National Museum of Australia and CSIRO are next to the campus.
