Rutgers University operates across three distinct campuses: Rutgers–New Brunswick, Rutgers–Newark, and Rutgers–Camden. Rutgers–New Brunswick, the university’s main campus, is not only the largest campus but also the original one. It spans Middlesex County in New Jersey, is located in the city of New Brunswick and the adjacent community of Piscataway, and consists of five smaller campuses along with several buildings in downtown New Brunswick. The historic College Avenue Campus is situated close to downtown New Brunswick and includes the university’s central hub, Old Queens, and other nineteenth- and early twentieth-century buildings that make up the Queens Campus and Voorhees Mall.
