Cleveland State University is a research-focused public university founded in 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. Taking on its current form in 1964 when the state acquired Fenn College (a private institution founded in 1923), CSU has grown into a major urban university serving Northeast Ohio and beyond. Cleveland State University's main campus, Downtown Campus, is located to the east of downtown Cleveland and spans approximately 35 hectares, comprising classrooms, laboratories, libraries, recreational facilities, and student housing. In addition to the Downtown Campus, Cleveland State University also operates at the Lakeland Campus and locations in Lorain County through partnership agreements with institutions such as Lakeland Community College and Lorain County Community College.
