Vanderbilt University operates two campuses. The main campus holds most of the university's academic work. The Peabody Campus is home to the Peabody College of Education and Human Development. You will find the main campus about 2.4 kilometers southwest of downtown Nashville. It sits along the corridor formed by the bustling West End Avenue and 21st Avenue. The oldest part of the main campus is known for its wide tree-lined areas and green spaces. These stand in contrast to the Nashville city skyline.
Directly across 21st Avenue is the Peabody Campus, which houses the Peabody College of Education and Human Development. The Peabody Campus is also home to the Martha Rivers Ingram Commons student dormitories.
Vanderbilt University is home to one of the largest campuses in the state. It has 30 student dormitories, 18 dining venues, and more than 475 student organizations. It also has more than 35 student clubs and university sports teams. The campus stands just steps from Nashville, the capital of Tennessee. With all of this, the university offers its students nearly unlimited opportunities to build community, discover their passions, and make a difference.
