Italian universities offer scholarship programs for international students. These scholarships are generally in the range of 5,000–12,000 EUR per year. They may also be awarded to cover the full cost of one year of tuition. The DSU scholarship is one of the best-known scholarships in Italy and is a type of scholarship awarded by the Italian government based on the student's family's financial situation. To apply for this scholarship, the student must have already received a university acceptance letter.

How to get into Bocconi University
Prospective international students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Bocconi University must meet the admission requirements listed below.
- Completion of 12 years of primary and secondary education (students who complete high school in 11 years are required to complete one year of Foundation preparatory studies)
- A minimum B2 level internationally recognized language certificate in English for undergraduate or graduate programs in English in Italy (such as IELTS or TOEFL)
- Having taken the YKS exam (participation in both the TYT and AYT sessions is required)
- Participation in and achieving the required score on entrance exams administered by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR) for undergraduate programs in fields such as Medicine, Psychology, Engineering, Economics, and Architecture
- Alternatively, sitting the SAT exam for programs such as Business, Economics, etc.
Prospective international students wishing to apply to postgraduate programs offered by Bocconi University must meet the admission requirements listed below.

- Having accumulated at least 180 ECTS credits during undergraduate study
