The University of Amsterdam (UvA) has several campuses located throughout Amsterdam, each with its own distinct characteristics and purpose. The humanities faculty are housed in the City Centre Campus, which is located in the historic core of Amsterdam. The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS/HvA) is principally located on the Amstel Campus. Although AUAS/HvA is an independent organization, it collaborates closely with UvA.
