How to get into Tilburg University
Tilburg University offers a preparatory program called “Language and Preparatory Program” to help new students prepare for higher education and gain language proficiency
Prospective international students who wish to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Tilburg University must meet the admission requirements set out below.
- Successful Completion of 12 Years of Basic Education
- High School Diploma with at least 4 Advanced Placement examinations (not accepted are: AP Capstone, AP Research, AP Seminar and AP Studio Art) with a minimum score of 3
- High Grade Point Average
or - International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
- Tilburg University only accepts the full International Baccalaureate Diploma, which includes the core (Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and CAS) and subjects taken from groups 1-5 or groups 1-6 - of which at least three subjects must be at Higher Level. The overall score must be ≥ 24. Individual diploma program course results are not accepted for admission purposes.

- At least 3 GCE accepted A-levels in general academic subjects (see below) with grades A*-C, plus 3 GCSE academic subjects with grades A*-C or 4-9 (six different subjects in total).
- Certificate in English Proficiency for programs taught in English
- Academic IELTS with a minimum overall score of 6.0 and a minimum score of 5.5 for each section.
- TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 80 for the traditional TOEFL iBT test at a test center or the TOEFL iBT Paper Edition.
- Cambridge English test results: C1 advanced (formerly CAE) or C2 proficiency (formerly CPE). For both C1 and C2, we accept a score of A, B, or C.
