The University of Twente has a campus spanning 146 hectares between the cities of Enschede and Hengelo. This self-contained campus offers an academic environment where students, researchers, and staff live, study, and work together.
Modern academic buildings, state-of-the-art laboratories, residential facilities, sports complexes, shops, cafes, and cultural venues are all within walking or cycling distance.
The main academic buildings are clustered by discipline, including the Horst Complex for engineering and the Cubicus building for social sciences.
In addition to its main campus in Enschede, the University of Twente also maintains a strong global presence through its Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), which was integrated into the university in 2010.
