Ranked among the top 100 universities in the world, Korea University is located in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Founded in 1905 as Bosung College, the school adopted its current name in 1945. As a private research university, Korea University is a member of "SKY," the term used to refer to the three most prestigious universities in South Korea. The other SKY members are Seoul National University and Yonsei University.
The student population consists of more than 20,000 undergraduate students and over 10,000 graduate students. The university was the first educational institution in Korea to offer academic programs in various disciplines such as law, economics, and journalism. In particular, the university's School of Law is the most prominent law school in the country. As one of South Korea's most prestigious schools, Korea University also has auxiliary educational facilities such as the Institute of Foreign Language Studies, the Institute of Continuing Education, the International Education Institute, and the Center for Teaching and Learning.

The university's main campus is located in the city of Seoul. The Seoul campus is divided into four sub-sections: Science and Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Medicine and Life Sciences, and Jeongneung. Within a five-minute walk from campus, there are numerous restaurants, bars, shops, and even a famous Buddhist temple. There are also student-friendly cafes on campus where students can grab a meal. From the main campus buildings, you can reach the other campus, Sejong, within a 20-minute walk.
