Colorado State University is a research-focused public university in Fort Collins, Colorado, in the United States. The university began in 1870 as the Colorado Agricultural College. Today it serves more than 34,000 students in undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs. That makes it one of the largest universities in the state of Colorado. 

The university offers more than 150 degree programs across eight colleges. Its strengths lie in agriculture, business, engineering, liberal arts, health and human sciences, natural resources, veterinary medicine, and biomedical sciences. Colorado State University also hosts a variety of research centers and institutes. These include the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA), the Infectious Disease Research Center, and the School of Global Environmental Sustainability.

Colorado State University keeps a strong focus on sustainability and environmental research. Numerous initiatives here aim to reduce environmental impact and promote sound sustainability practices. Qualifications from programs such as GCE A-Level, International Baccalaureate, or Advanced Placement are not enough on their own for direct admission. If you are in one of these programs, you may request course credit for relevant coursework you have completed.
