How to get into University Of Twente
If you are applying to an undergraduate program at the University of Twente, you must meet the following admission requirements.
- Completion of 12 Years of Basic Education
- 4-Year High School Diploma
- You also need at least 4 Advanced Placement (AP) exam certificates with a minimum score of 3. AP Capstone, AP Research, AP Seminar, and AP Studio Art are not accepted.
- Strong GPA
or - At least 3 A-Levels and at least 3 IGCSE subjects (Grade range: A*–C)
or - European Baccalaureate Diploma
or - International Baccalaureate Diploma (Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, CAS + courses taken from groups 1 through 5 or 1 through 6, with at least three of those courses at HL)
or - 4-Year High School Diploma, plus admission to and completion of the first year of a bachelor's program. That program must be at an internationally recognized university offering a 4-year bachelor's degree in Turkey
- The university may also ask to see your YKS exam results.
- For programs taught in English: an English proficiency certificate
- A certificate from a recognized English proficiency exam such as IELTS, TOEFL, CPE, or CAE
- Depending on the program-specific admission requirements, universities may also ask students to take various exams relevant to their chosen field of study.
If you are applying to a graduate program at the University of Twente, you must meet the following admission requirements.
- 4-Year Bachelor's Degree Diploma
- Strong GPA
- At least 180 ECTS credits completed during undergraduate study
- For programs taught in English: an English Proficiency Certificate
- A certificate from an internationally recognized English proficiency exam such as IELTS or TOEFL iBT
- Depending on the program-specific admission requirements, you may be asked for a GRE/GMAT score.

The University of Twente has a campus of 146 hectares between the cities of Enschede and Hengelo. This self-contained campus offers an academic environment where students, researchers, and staff live, study, and work together.
Modern academic buildings, state-of-the-art laboratories, housing, sports complexes, shops, cafes, and cultural venues are all within walking or cycling distance.
The main academic buildings are grouped by discipline, including the Horst Complex for engineering and the Cubicus building for social sciences.
Beyond its main campus in Enschede, the university also keeps a strong global presence through its Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC). ITC was integrated into the university in 2010.
ITC is based in central Enschede and works as a global center for education and research. It draws professionals and students from developing countries to geospatial research and sustainable development.

The annual Batavierenrace is a major student tradition and the world's largest relay race. It runs from Nijmegen to Enschede and draws thousands of participants from across Europe.
Other popular campus events include Kick-In and Create Tomorrow. Kick-In is the university's week-long orientation program, filled with activities, parties, and workshops. Create Tomorrow is a student think tank where students take on real-world problems posed by companies.
