Celebrating its 600th anniversary in 2025, KU Leuven is one of the oldest universities in Europe. The institution has the honor of being the oldest university in the Dutch region and the oldest existing Catholic university in the world. KU Leuven is dedicated to teaching and research in almost all fields, offering educational opportunities in fifteen different faculties, while research activities are organized by departments and research groups.
These faculties and departments are organized into three groups: "Humanities and Social Sciences", "Science, Engineering and Technology (SET)" and "Biomedical Sciences". Each of these groups has a doctoral school for doctoral training programs. KU Leuven has thirteen campuses spread over 10 cities in Flanders.

Undergraduate
Prospective students who wish to apply to undergraduate programs offered by KU Leuven must meet the admission requirements set out below.

KU Leuven has been located in the city of Leuven since it was founded in 1425. Most English-language programs are offered in Leuven, but the university also has campuses in Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp, Geel and De Nayer. The Ghent campus, located in the historic city of Ghent, is home to the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Engineering Technology.
The campus in Brussels, Belgium's capital city, is home to the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Architecture. In the port city of Antwerp, you can study at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and the Faculty of Arts. The campus in Geel, in the Flemish region of Belgium, is a unique green campus that houses the Faculty of Engineering Technology. Campus De Nayer, near Mechelen, is home to the Faculty of Engineering Technology.
The University has established some student centers on campus to help students with various issues. There are offices where information and assistance can be obtained in many areas such as immigration and residence, accommodation, health and safety, activities, meeting new people, studying, transportation. The university does not offer on-campus accommodation. However, it assists students in finding suitable off-campus accommodation.
