Université libre de Bruxelles

Université libre de Bruxelles (Free University of Brussels) is a Belgian university whose language of instruction is French.  Founded in 1834, it is one of the oldest universities in Europe and is also considered one of the best institutions in Belgium. Consistently ranked among the top 250 universities in the world, Université libre de Bruxelles has successfully aligned its deep-rooted academic tradition with modern curricula.

Six of the university's alumni or professors are Nobel Prize laureates. Since its founding, the university has attracted the most distinguished professors of each era. Renowned scientists such as Auguste Baron, Van de Weyer, Robert Brout, and François Englert have all served on the university's academic staff.
