How to get into University of Alberta

If you are an international student applying to an undergraduate program at the University of Alberta, you must meet the following admission requirements.

Campus

Take a closer look at University of Alberta

The University of Alberta has five separate campuses, four in Edmonton and one in Camrose. Eighteen different faculties are spread across these campuses, and the U of A is Canada's fifth-largest university. The main campus, the North Campus, sits on the North Saskatchewan River valley and spans about 200 acres. Most of the university's teaching and research takes place there, on a site with over 90 buildings. Among them is the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre, one of the largest health sciences complexes in North America.

The North Campus also houses the Butterdome, a multi-purpose sports facility. The Van Vliet Centre is there too, with a pool, track, and various fitness facilities. The South Campus, another of the university's Edmonton campuses, lies about 3 km south of the main campus. It hosts the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences, as well as the University of Alberta Botanic Garden. The university also has a presence in downtown Edmonton. Campus Saint-Jean, which primarily serves the Francophone community, and the Enterprise Square campus are located there.

The Augustana Campus in Camrose lies about 100 km southeast of Edmonton and primarily serves as a liberal arts college.

Campus Life

More than 38,000 students study at the University of Alberta, and 8,000 of them are international students from 150 different countries. The university's campuses offer restaurants, cafes, and pubs where you can try cuisines from virtually every corner of the world, as well as a wide variety of academic and social activities. The university has more than 900 student clubs and organizations where students with similar interests can come together. They cover a wide spectrum, from culture and arts to sports, and from academics to volunteering.

The university also provides various recreational opportunities, sports facilities, and social activities for students. Its multifaceted library system gives you access to millions of resources, and health and wellness services are available on campus.
