Accredited by the B.C. Private Training Institutions Branch and British Columbia Education Quality Assurance, Vancouver Film School has established partnerships with industry giants such as Adobe, Dell, HP, NVIDIA, Unreal Engine, and Unity, and its graduates have worked on 97 films, 25 television and web series, 21 3D animation projects, and 28 video game projects. A world leader in its field, Vancouver Film School currently provides higher education opportunities to more than 1,000 students across eight campuses.

How to get into Vancouver Film School (VFS)
Vancouver Film School offers 3 preparatory programs — Acting Essentials, English for Creative Arts, and Foundation Visual Art & Design — designed to prepare students who are just starting university for higher education and develop their language proficiency.
In addition, prospective international students wishing to apply to programs offered by Vancouver Film School must meet the following requirements.
- 4-Year High School Diploma
- Strong Academic Record

or - SAT/ACT Score
or - Acceptance into and completion of the first year at a university recognized by Vancouver Film School that offers a 4-year bachelor's degree in the relevant field in Turkey
- English Proficiency Certification
- English proficiency certificate obtained through English proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Duolingo English Test, or PTE Academic
- Originals and scanned copies of all academic diplomas and certificates held by the applicant
- Portfolio, film, and work samples demonstrating specific skills, previous work, and projects the applicant has been involved in, in accordance with the admission requirements specific to the programs being applied to
- The applicant may be required to provide their own equipment in accordance with the admission requirements specific to the programs being applied to
- Official transcripts listing the courses taken and grades received during secondary education

Rather than a single campus school, Vancouver Film School operates across eight campuses in the city of Vancouver. All of its campuses are located in or very close to downtown Vancouver. At the campuses on West Hastings St., the Acting Essentials, Acting for Film & Television, Makeup Design for Film & Television, Writing for Film, Television & Games, Foundation Visual Art & Design, and Sound Design for Visual Media programs are delivered; at the campus at 420 Homer St., the Digital Design and VR/AR Design & Development programs; at the campus at 151 West Cordova St., the 3D Animation & Visual Effects, Animation Concept Art, and Classical Animation programs; at the 142 Water St. campus, the Film Production program; at the campus at 88 East Pender St., the Game Design and Programming for Games, Web & Mobile programs; and at the campus at 1248 Franklin St., the Makeup Design for Film & Television program is delivered.
Vancouver Film School's campuses, located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, allow students to take full advantage of the social and cultural opportunities that city life has to offer. In close proximity to the school's campuses are cafes, restaurants, pubs, museums, art galleries, cinemas, and shops, and attractions such as Stanley Park, Granville Island, the Vancouver Aquarium, Queen Elizabeth Park, VanDusen Botanical Garden, the Granville Island Public Market, and the Museum of Anthropology are among the must-see destinations for students studying in Vancouver. Although no sports clubs operate within Vancouver Film School itself, there are numerous gyms in the city of Vancouver where students can sign up for monthly or annual memberships at reasonable rates.
