École des ponts ParisTech, formerly known as École nationale des ponts et chaussées, is a higher education and research institution founded in 1747 in Paris, France, offering university-level education with a particular focus on science, technology, and engineering. One of the oldest and most prestigious Grandes Écoles in France, École des ponts ParisTech has been dedicated to training expert engineers since its founding, and over time has expanded its academic activities to encompass fields including computer science, applied mathematics, civil engineering, mechanics, finance, economics, innovation, urban studies, environmental engineering, and transportation engineering.
