The buildings of Monod Campus are located in the Gerland district. The university campus was designed and built by architects Philippe Dubois-Brunet and Daniel Barraud following a two-phase architectural competition held in 1981 and 1982. This campus is served by the Debourg and Stade de Gerland metro stations.
The faculty buildings on Descartes Campus are the work of the renowned architect Henri Gaudin. Architect Bruno Gaudin also designed the Denis-Diderot Library, which has direct access from the Debourg metro entrance. This campus houses the teaching building, the research building (laboratories and research units), the administrative building, and the resource building, which contains production tools.
The school is divided into two campuses — Monod and Descartes — located 800 meters apart and easily accessible by public transportation (metro, tram, and bus). The university campuses offer everything needed to provide students with the best possible conditions for studying and relaxing.
