Yaşar Üniversitesi is a foundation university established in 2001 in Izmir, Turkey. Founded and supported by the Selçuk Yaşar Sports and Education Foundation, the university takes its name from industrialist and businessman Selçuk Yaşar, who is also the founder of the foundation. Yaşar Üniversitesi began its educational activities in the 2002–2003 academic year and currently offers students 14 associate's degree, 31 bachelor's degree, 71 master's degree, and 15 doctoral programs.
Today, through 10 faculties — including the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the Faculty of Communication, the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Business, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Art and Design, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture, and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies — along with 4 schools, 1 institute, and 8 research and application centers, it provides higher education opportunities to more than 8,500 students.
