Yaşar University is a foundation university established in 2001 in Izmir, Turkey. Founded and supported by the Selçuk Yaşar Sports and Education Foundation, the university takes its name from industrialist and businessman Selçuk Yaşar, who is also the founder of the foundation. Yaşar University began its educational activities in the 2002–2003 academic year and currently offers students 14 associate's degree, 31 bachelor's degree, 71 master's degree, and 15 doctoral programs.
Today, through 10 faculties — including the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the Faculty of Communication, the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Business, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Art and Design, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture, and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies — along with 4 schools, 1 institute, and 8 research and application centers, it provides higher education opportunities to more than 8,500 students.

Submitting at least one of the exams below with the required score is a prerequisite for application. The score threshold may vary by program.
How to get into Yaşar University
Certain undergraduate programs at Yaşar University are taught in English; accordingly, prospective students are first required to take a level placement and proficiency exam, and based on their score, they may either proceed directly to undergraduate study or begin a preparatory program. In addition, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or Cambridge ESOL (FCE/CAE/CPE), or on proficiency exams administered by ÖSYM and YÖK such as YDS, E-YDS, or YÖKDİL, may apply for a preparatory program exemption.
Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Yaşar University must meet the following admission requirements.
For Turkish Students:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum YKS Base Score: 206.75208
- Maximum YKS Base Score: 429.94379
For International Students:
- SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score
or - International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Level Certificate
- Turkish Proficiency Certificate
For Preparatory Program Exemption:
- A sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or Cambridge ESOL (FCE/CAE/CPE), or on proficiency exams administered by ÖSYM and YÖK such as YDS, E-YDS, or YÖKDİL
