Istanbul Medeniyet University

Founded in 2010 and located on the Asian side of Istanbul, Istanbul Medeniyet University is a public university built on five core values: 'innovative,' 'entrepreneurial,' 'society and civilization-focused,' 'international,' and 'research-oriented.' Istanbul Medeniyet University currently offers undergraduate and graduate education to more than 14,000 students through 10 faculties, 1 institute, and 14 application and research centers.

With a library spanning 28,000 square meters and housing approximately one million books, Istanbul Medeniyet University is home to one of the largest libraries in Turkey. Students at Istanbul Medeniyet University have the opportunity to spend part of their undergraduate education abroad by participating in the Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana student exchange programs.

Certain undergraduate programs at Istanbul Medeniyet University are taught in English. Prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam, and based on their scores, they may either proceed directly to their undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program. Additionally, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL i-BT, CAE, CPE, or exams administered by OSYM such as YDS and YOKDiL may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students who wish to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Istanbul Medeniyet University must meet the admission requirements listed below.

For Turkish Students;

High School Diploma

Minimum YKS Base Score: 228.87994

Maximum YKS Base Score: 459.74713

For International Students;

SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score

or

A sufficient score from at least one of the IMUYOS Foreign Student Exams

Turkish Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Program Exemption;

A sufficient score on a proficiency exam such as TOEFL i-BT, CAE, CPE, or exams administered by OSYM such as YDS and YOKDiL
