How to get into Umeå University
Students wishing to enroll in undergraduate programs at Umeå University must fulfill the following criteria:
- High school diploma
- Transcript documents
- English/Swedish language proficiency documents
- Students who received their final school grades after December 31, 2009 have an additional entry requirement for Mathematics as follows:
- The student must have successfully completed Mathematics courses to reach the Swedish Mathematics A course (approximately 10 years of Mathematics education).
- This Mathematics requirement does not apply to students who received their final school grades before January 1, 2010.
Students wishing to enroll in graduate programs at Umeå University must fulfill the following criteria:
- Hold a bachelor's degree from an internationally recognized university (This means at least three (3) years of university or college education (180 ECTS) from an accredited university or college, including at least two semesters (60 ECTS) of full-time study in a discipline, subject, or major.)
- Transcript documents
- English/Swedish language proficiency documents
- Depending on your country of graduation, there may be other requirements regarding the qualifications needed for your application and which additional sections you need to complete.
