How to get into Technische Universität Wien
Vienna University requires prospective international students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs to participate in a program called the "Foundation Program" before beginning their bachelor's degree studies, in order to prepare students for higher education life. The admission requirements for this program are as follows.
- 4-Year High School Diploma or, if available, an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
- Having been admitted to a university in Turkey offering a four-year bachelor's degree through the higher education entrance exam administered by OSYM
- English Proficiency Certificate (English Proficiency Certificate obtained through scores from exams such as TOEFL or IELTS)
- German Proficiency Certificate (German Proficiency Certificate obtained through scores from exams such as TestDaF, telc, or Goethe-Zertifikat
- Official transcript documents listing the courses and grades received during secondary education
Prospective students wishing to apply to graduate programs offered by Vienna University must meet the following requirements.
- Graduation from a university recognized by Vienna University that offers a four-year bachelor's degree education
- Completion of at least 180 ECTS credits during undergraduate study
- English Proficiency Certificate (English Proficiency Certificate obtained through scores from exams such as TOEFL or IELTS)
- German Proficiency Certificate (German Proficiency Certificate obtained through scores from exams such as TestDaF, telc, or Goethe-Zertifikat
- GRE/GMAT scores are required depending on the department-specific admission requirements.
