How to get into Technische Universität Graz
TU Graz offers various preparatory programs called “University Preparation Programme” and “Intensive German Language Courses” to prepare students entering higher education and to help them develop proficiency in the German language.
Prospective international students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by TU Graz must meet the admission requirements listed below.
- Completion of 12 Years of Basic Education
- 4-Year High School Diploma
- High GPA
- Having taken the TYT and AYT exams under the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) administered by OSYM in Turkey and having been placed at a university offering a four-year bachelor's degree
or - European Baccalaureate (EB) Diploma
or - International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
- English Proficiency Certificate
- English proficiency certificate obtained through internationally recognized exams such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), or Pearson Test of English (PTE)
- German Proficiency Certificate

Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) operates across 3 campuses in the city of Graz — the “Alte Technik” Campus, the “Neue Technik” Campus, and the “Inffeldgasse” Campus — two of which are located in the city center and one in the southeastern part of the city. TU Graz has a total of 7 faculties, under which there are 97 institutes where the university's undergraduate and graduate educational activities take place.
In addition to the faculties and institutes, the university library also operates in buildings spread across the university's three campuses.
