Czech Technical University

Czech Technical University (ČVUT) has a multi-campus structure, with its faculties and research centers spread across different districts of Prague. The main and largest campus is in Dejvice, known as the city's technical and scientific hub. It is home to major faculties, including the Faculties of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, and Information Technology. ČVUT shares the Dejvice campus with other prestigious institutions such as the Institute of Chemical Technology (VŠCHT) and the National Technical Library.

One of the most prominent student groups is eForce Formula Student, which designs and builds electric racing cars for international competitions. Another notable organization is IAESTE ČVUT, which provides students with internship opportunities abroad.

The university also fosters a strong entrepreneurial culture through innovation centers such as the ČVUT InQbay startup incubator. InQbay helps students develop and launch new technology-based ventures. The university regularly organizes hackathons, conferences, and workshops to encourage students to engage with the latest research and industry trends. Sports and traditions play an important role in student life at ČVUT. The university operates numerous sports facilities offering a wide range of activities, including soccer, basketball, ice hockey, and martial arts.

These facilities include gyms, swimming pools, climbing walls, and outdoor sports courts. One of the most celebrated events is the Rector's Sports Day, when you take a break from your academic program to take part in competitions. Traditional student events include the Majáles festival, a major celebration with parades, concerts, and performances. They also include the Welcome Ceremony for First-Year Students, where new students are introduced to university traditions.

The annual CTU Student Ball is a formal event where students and faculty come together for an evening of music, dancing, and networking.
