The University of Washington has three campuses: Seattle, Tacoma, and Bothell.
The Seattle campus, founded in 1861, is the largest and most prestigious, and covers 700 acres in the University District. It has breathtaking views of Mount Rainier and Lake Washington. The campus is home to world-class facilities including the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, the UW Medical Center, and the College of Built Environments. It serves over 50,000 students.
The campus blends historic and modern architecture. Its iconic landmarks include Drumheller Fountain, Red Square, and Suzzallo Library. That library is Gothic in style, and its grand reading room has earned it the nickname “Harry Potter Library”.
