Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is a research-oriented public university founded in 1972 in Johor Bahru, the capital of Malaysia's Johor state. Established as a technical school in 1904, the institution has continued to expand since its founding and has played a major role in Malaysia's academic development.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia has partnership agreements with highly prestigious universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Imperial College London, the University of Cambridge, the University of Leeds, and the University of Oxford, and also collaborates with industry leaders such as Intel, Altera, Dyson, Alcon, Shell, and Proton. The second-largest public university in the country after Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia provides higher education to approximately 22,000 students across its campuses in Skudai, Kuala Lumpur, and Pagoh.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia offers a preparatory program called the "UTM Foundation Program" to prepare students who are just starting their university education for higher education.

In addition, prospective international students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia must meet the following admission requirements.

• Completion of 12 Years of Basic Education
• 4-Year High School Diploma
• Strong GPA
  or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
  or
• GCE A-Level / IGCSE A-Level Diploma
  or
• Completion of Advanced Placement (AP) courses and exams relevant to the field of the undergraduate program being applied to

• SAT/ACT Exam Scores
  or
• Admission to a university in Turkey offering a 4-year undergraduate degree and completion of the first year of the undergraduate program
• English language proficiency certificate
  • English language proficiency certificate obtained through recognized exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia may require you to have sat for TYT+AYT exams in addition to your 4-year high school diploma and to provide your exam scores.

Prospective international students wishing to apply to graduate programs offered by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia must meet the following admission requirements.

• 4-Year Bachelor's Degree
• Strong GPA
• English language proficiency certificate
  • English language proficiency certificate obtained through recognized exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic
