University of Warsaw

The University of Warsaw operates across 126 buildings in the capital, Warsaw, and an extensive renovation program is under way at the university's main campus. It is not a campus university in the traditional sense. Much like its contemporaries, it is a city university spread throughout the whole capital, though most of its buildings sit in a few districts. The campus considered the main one is in central Warsaw. It includes, among other structures, the Pałac Kazimierzowski, which houses the Rector's Office and the university senate.

The Pałac Uruskich holds the Geography and Theology departments. The same campus holds the Old Library, the Szkoła Główna with the Institute of Archaeology, and the Auditorium Maximum, the university's main lecture hall. The natural sciences campus, where university buildings are concentrated, is on Banacha and Pasteura streets in Warsaw. It houses departments such as chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, computer science, and geology. Two further areas hold clusters of university buildings.

The Ochota Campus is where interdisciplinary research is conducted, which is particularly important in fields such as medicine, environmental protection, and industry. The Służewiec Campus, in the south of the city, is home to the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Applied Linguistics.

The university is in the capital, Warsaw, and it is deeply intertwined with the social and cultural offerings of the city and its urban life. From the campuses you can walk to cinemas and theaters, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, museums, and shops. Most shopping centers and, of course, the famous Vistula River are within walking distance too. The university's library buildings give you ample space to study, and the sports facilities let you take part in various athletic activities and sports programs. The University of Warsaw operates across 3 campuses.

The main campus in the city center houses the humanities and social sciences faculties. The Ochota Campus is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and focuses on natural sciences education. The Służewiec Campus is home to the business faculty as well as student dormitories. The university also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, organized by student groups and the university itself, including lectures, workshops, concerts, and film screenings.
