University of Health Sciences

Housing Turkey’s first medical school and using the Mekteb-i Tıbbiyye-i Şahane Külliyesi building in Haydarpaşa, University of Health Sciences is located in Üsküdar, one of Istanbul’s most beautiful districts. Founded in 2015 and home to numerous medical schools, including the Bursa, Adana, Erzurum, and Gülhane Faculties of Medicine, the University of Health Sciences provides higher education opportunities in the fields of medicine and health sciences to more than 20,000 students.

Operating with a total of 23 faculties and 4 institutes, the University of Health Sciences is a member of the Bologna Process and offers the Erasmus student exchange program.

The language of instruction for certain undergraduate programs at the University of Health Sciences is English, and prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam. Based on their score on this exam, prospective students may either proceed directly to undergraduate study or begin a preparatory program. That said, students who have achieved sufficient scores on proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, CAE, CPE, or ÖSYM-administered exams such as YDS or YÖKDİL may request a preparatory program exemption.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs at the University of Health Sciences must meet the admission requirements listed below.

For Turkish Students:

High School Diploma

Minimum YKS Base Score: 200.87278

Maximum YKS Base Score: 459.68584

For International Students:

SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score

or

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate

or

A sufficient score on at least one of the following foreign student exams: SBÜYÖS, KTÜYÖS, AYÖS, OMÜYÖS, or İÜYÖS

Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Program Exemption:

Must have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, CAE, CPE, or ÖSYM-administered exams such as YDS or YÖKDİL
