UC Chile is a private university founded on June 21, 1888, in Santiago, the capital of Chile. One of Chile's oldest universities and one of the most widely recognized higher education institutions throughout Latin America, UC Chile was established in 1888 to train professionals in fields such as law and other traditional professions, as well as business, accounting, chemistry, and electrical engineering, and was elevated to full autonomous university status by the Chilean government in 1931. Having produced Chile's first scientists, the university today provides higher education opportunities to more than 25,000 students through 18 faculties across 5 campuses — four in the capital Santiago and one in Villarrica.

How to get into Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile UC

Prospective international students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by UC Chile must meet the admission requirements listed below.

  • Completion of 12 Years of Basic Education
  • 4-Year High School Diploma
    • A Turkish high school diploma must be evaluated and recognized by the relevant Chilean authorities, and an equivalency certificate must be obtained.
  • High Grade Point Average
    or
  • Having been admitted to a university in Turkey offering a four-year bachelor's degree and having completed the first year of the undergraduate program
    or
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
    or
  • GCE A-Level / International A-Level Diploma
  • English Proficiency Certificate for programs taught in English
    • An English proficiency certificate obtained through recognized exams such as IELTS or TOEFL iBT
  • Spanish Proficiency Certificate for programs taught in Spanish
    • A Spanish proficiency certificate obtained through recognized exams such as DELE, SIELE, or LTI

In addition to the above, international students may be required to take the university's own entrance exams.

For medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine, international students may be required to take additional exams administered by the university.

Prospective international students wishing to apply to graduate programs offered by UC Chile must meet the admission requirements listed below.

  • 4-Year Bachelor's Degree Diploma
  • High Grade Point Average
  • English Proficiency Certificate for programs taught in English
    • An English proficiency certificate obtained through recognized exams such as IELTS or TOEFL iBT
  • Spanish Proficiency Certificate for programs taught in Spanish
    • A Spanish proficiency certificate obtained through recognized exams such as DELE, SIELE, or LTI
  • GRE/GMAT exam scores may be required in accordance with the specific admission requirements of the program applied to.
