National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, known as NYCU, is a research-focused public university formed in 2021 in Taiwan through the merger of National Yang-Ming University and National Chiao Tung University. One of six research universities selected by Taiwan's Ministry of Education, NYCU is also one of four universities chosen by the Ministry of Education to participate in the Global Taiwan Program. Born from the merger of two of Taiwan's top universities, NYCU ranks among the best universities in Taiwan and the Far East. How to get into National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University
Prospective international students who wish to apply to undergraduate programs offered by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University must meet the following admission requirements.

- 4-Year High School Diploma
- High GPA
- National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University may require you to have taken the TYT+AYT exams in addition to your 4-year high school diploma and to present your exam scores.

- The applicant must have taken and completed courses directly related to the program they intend to pursue at the university

- English proficiency certificate obtained through scores on English proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic
- Chinese proficiency certificate for programs taught in Chinese
- Chinese proficiency certificate obtained through scores on Chinese proficiency exams such as HSK
In addition to the above, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University may require you to have taken and to present scores from exams such as the International STEM Test (THUSSAT, TIST, etc.) for certain programs.
